Life happened.

It’s been roughly three years since I last wrote something on my blog. Laziness, writers block, busy schedule…whatever you might call it, I’ve been away. In the meantime, Life happened. There’s been so many changes that have happened in my life in the last three years that I never stopped to think about everything that was changing around me.

My baby brother moved to the US 2 years ago for his Masters. I got promoted at work twice (YAY). Got a 2 year old Labrador who thinks she’s a small chihuahua (she weighs 80 pounds by the way. But most important than probably everything else, I’m ENGAGED! I am lucky to be marrying the woman I love, ( and have loved for many years now). I couldn’t be happier and excited for this next chapter of my life.

If not for the recent COVID-19 situation, I probably wouldn’t have stopped to think about all this. As sad and challenging as these times are, I am grateful for the silver lining this is having on my life. Honestly, I thought the lock down meant that I had an endless supply of digital media (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon..you name it), working from home in my PJs, video games, and eating what I wanted, when I wanted. But frankly after the first few days of staying home all day (and night), I was itching to actually be productive (outside of normal work hours of course…work productivity wasn’t affected at all by this lock down, mind you.) in my personal life.

I finally signed up for the PMP Certification and started studying for that in my free time.Even more exciting, I launched my personal website a few days ago. It is no expert level design but for a beginner at website design (with help from Squarespace and Google, I want to say I did a pretty decent job. This is still a work in progress so I definitely welcome suggestions and feedback!

Another silver lining from all this, my brother is in lock down with me, so it’s given us some really quality family time together. This is something both of us had missed for many years now! Anywho…I am already thinking about what to write for my next blog…so if you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know!

Cheers,

K
