The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree is a phrase that is typically said in connection with children who show qualities or talents that are similar to those of their parents. In my case, that applies to my younger brother as well. Just like me, he came to this country with a dream. A dream to begin his life journey as his own person. Coming from an Indian family, this required tons of sacrifice and hard work to turn this dream into a reality.

It is this dream that pushed him to leave a comfortable life in India behind and come here for his Masters degree two years ago. Today, I couldn’t be a happier big brother because he JUST GRADUATED with a Masters in Business Analytics from The University of Texas at Dallas. I couldn’t be more excited for what’s next - him getting a full time job (hopefully in the same city/state where I am - what can I say….I like having my family around).

Although he is graduating during a very challenging time with the COVID-19 situation, he has a brilliant mind and I know he will persevere. Social media outreach is a powerful tool for getting his message across and that’s why I am turning to my contacts on social media with a shout-out for help!

He wanted to put his resume out there but didn’t want it to be lost among the thousands of resumes that are floating around - that’s when he decided to create an interactive version of his resume, Instagram style! (or Vizume as he likes to call it)
