Summer Vacation: Day 4

I am up unusually early today. I've had a tough time getting up at 6.15AM even on days when I had to turn up for work but here I am on my vacation patience not withstanding, so excited for the day ahead and also make sure I had my yesterday penned in digital. I was talking to one of my friends before this and she was amused that I was on 'fbing' and blogging even on my vacation. I guess it's because I love writing and I absolutely love facebook as many of you would have realized by now. Haha :DMy days are getting shorter and the nights longer. Yesterday was actually better than the day before because my aunt and their younger kid stayed back at home with me. Pretty much the entire morning was spent on applying for on campus jobs once I get back to school (I know it sucks that I am searching for jobs even on vacation but I really need a job to handle my expenses unless one of y'all are philanthropic and ready to take care of me for one semester :P )Then we went to the dentist (the reason why the fam stayed back). This was a good 25 minute drive and took me around some of the most beautiful parts of the state. Cupertino, Paolo Alto, Sacramento, Santa Clara. On either side of the road were companies which until now, I had seen only on the internet. Apple, Google, Microsoft, Intel and what not. Least to say, the view was picturesque. All these on one side and beautiful hillocks and the mountain valley on the other. Beautiful.By the time they were done with the appointment, we were starving and rushed back home to another round of delicious home made Indian food. My day had just begun. After that full fledged meal (which was at around 2.30PM), I decided to take a power nap (which is usually 30 minutes) but eventually ended up sleeping till 6.30 in the evening. I woke up with a jerk(not literally) because I was meeting my friend for dinner in an hour. I've been actually looking forward to this dinner for a long time now because the last time I saw her was 3 years back :)My friend eventually picked me up at 8'0 clock. I was surprised when she drove into the parkway in a 2014 Mazda 6. It's a pretty huge sedan keep in mind and she looked so tiny behind the wheels haha :D It was a pretty new car and she was so careful when taking the car in reverse because of this. It took her a good 5 minute to pull the car out from the parkway. Then we went to this awesome indian restaurant called '8 elements' and had the most amazing panner dosa and onion uthapam we've had in a long long time. Time just flew by because there was so much to talk and so little time *sigh*Like all good things, the dinner also had to end and see, thats the toughest part - saying goodbye to friends and family. But I'm atleast glad I got to meet her :) As easy it is to guess, right after I came home, I fell on the bed and dozed off to sleep. I have no idea what today holds for me but I'll find out soon and so will you! :D Till then, take care.Gig'Em!
