Summer Vacation: Day 3
My days are getting lazier and my eating sessions, lengthier. I have never been the one to complain about eating food(especially Indian food). But so much and so rich is the food I've been eating the past couple of days that it's like getting an overdose of India all of a sudden. My mind knows that I won't be getting all this after a week but my tummy can only process so much. haha :D Yesterday was the first day of school for the elder kid and she was gone for most parts of the day.My uncle and aunt had to go to work too. The younger kid went with my aunt to her office and I had the whole house to myself. For a minute, I felt like Macaulay Culkin from Home Alone. A huge home and just me. You get the picture right? ;) This was what I did yesterday.Get up -> Have breakfast -> Watch movie on the huge screen TV -> Eat -> Take a Nap -> Have coffee -> Go for a walk -> Eat -> SleepOh I did manage to play a little basketball in between. In the evening, my aunt, the kids and I went on a LONG walk on the trails next to the place where we live. The view was breath taking and beautiful. All this is making me think if I should settle in this place in the long run. I really don't know for sure because for one, though the place is beautiful and less hot than Texas, I'd end up spending 1/3rds of my paycheck paying taxes. Also, San Jose and San Francisco isn't as quiet as San Antonio (that's where I will be working out of when I join Valero Energy Corporation next February). But lets see...there is a lot of time for that.Wow my post isn't that long and boring at all as the last one. But I guess its because I didn't do anything yesterday and also because I am in the excitement of meeting my friend for dinner in an hour. The last time I saw her was a good three years back and when she was still Indian. I hope I don't get shocked looking at her now :P She's going to be home in a little bit to pick me up so I better get up and get ready. Oh by the way, we're going to yet another Indian food place called '8 elements' here in San Jose. More about this in tomorrow's entry. Till then, take care.Gig'Em!
