My Cooking Escapades - Part 2
As with my first recipe, I'll start with the list of items required :)
List of things required(for 4 people):
1. Finely Chopped Onions - 4 numbers
2. Finely Chopped Tomatoes - 5 numbers (retain the seeds for taste)
3. Green Chilli -as per taste ( I used 5)
4. Coriander - Minced
5. Bow-tie a.k.a butterfly pasta - 200 gm
6. Finely grated cheese - 100 gm
7. Spring Onion - 2 numbers ( without the bulb)
6. Gingelley Oil ( as required)
7. Salt and pepper (as required)
8. Capsicum - 2 numbers ( I didn't use this though)
Preparation:
1.Take the pasta and boil in about 250ml of water for 20 min( add a little oil to it to prevent them from sticking to each other). Once the pasta is cooked, keep it aside and let it cool down.
2. In the mean time, take some oil in a frying pan(preferable large pan) and add the green chilli, onion, spring onions and capsicum(if available) and fry the contents for about 10 min till the onion turns golden brown.
2. Next take the tomatoes in another pan and add a cup of water to the frying pan and keep stirring the mixture for about 10 minutes.
3. Now, add the pasta, tomato mixture, green chilli+onion+capsicum mixture and salt( as required) and mix the contents.
4. Let it be on the cooking pan for another 5 to 10 min.
5. When the pasta is to be served, add a layer of the grated cheese to it, heat it in the microwave for a minute, garnish with coriander and serve.
Voila...The pasta is ready to be devoured :D To be honest, it turned out much better than expected :) Though making this particular recipe is quite tedious, it sure is worth the wait :)
