My Cooking Escapades - Part 5
I go to the kitchen and open all the jars but everything is empty!! All that I managed to find was a packet of Tofu paneer, some onion and tomatoes. I was so hungry that I decided to make something out of this :) If u want to coin a name for this dish, u might as well call it Chilli Tofu Manchurian :P
List of things required(for 2 people):
1. Tofu - 1 packet
2. Onions -2
3. Tomato - 1
4. Green Chilli - 2
5. Red Chilli Powder and salt - as required
6. Spring Onion
7. Vinegar, Soy Sauce and Chinese Manchurian Sauce ( I use Ching's secret recipe ;) )
8. Ginger-Garlic Paste - 2 Teaspoons.
Preparation:
To soften the Tofu
1. Soak the cut tofu in about 200 ml hot water and leave it aside for 10 minutes.
2. After 10 minutes, drain the tofu and keep aside.
Preparing the Tofu Manchurian
1. Take some oil in a frying pan and pre-heat it for 5 min.
2. Fry the onion in this till it turns golden-brown.
3. Now add the cut tomatoes, green chilli and the ginger-garlic paste to the fried onion and let it cook on a low flame for about 5 min.
4. Now add the tofu, red chilli powder, salt, spring onions and the sauce mentioned in 'List of things required' - Item#7 and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
5. Just before the food is taken off the flame, garnish with the coriander leaves and the Tofu snack is done! :D
It's as easy as that :) I loved it and I hope you will like it too! :) Happy eating! :)
