Monday Morning Blues...
There were days at office when I had to come in at 8 in the morning and leave at 12.30 or 1 in the night. But that was all when I had work to do. But right now, with my project gone into production and not that many issues coming out of the release ( yep...we developed the code good ;)), I don't have much to do at office.
Consequently, my office timings changed. I began coming in at 11.30 in the morning and started leaving when the first bus left out of office. But recently, thanks to our state governments idea of cutting down the power supply for a couple hours everyday ( in my office its for 4 hours I guess), my office came up with an idea. Why not ask everybody to come in at 8AM in the morning and ask them to leave at 5? This way, we can save on the power consumption after 5PM. I am really interested in knowing who came up with this brilliant idea.
What these guys did not think of is, our clients come online only AFTER 5PM and as a result, we again end up working from 8 in the morning to catching the late night cabs ( weren't we better off coming in at 11AM itself??)
And here I am, entering the office at 7.30AM - ofcourse, where wud all the traffic be at such an early time of the day? :P But coming early is going to help me in one way I'm sure. Now, I'll learn to get up early. But the devil at the back of my mind is suggesting an alternative:D So what if the office asks u to come at 8? U anyways don't have much to do right? U can come in at 11.30(as usual) and leave at 5.30 :D *WICKED GRIN*
Ok then..breakfast would be ready by now at the canteen downstairs. I'll go eat whatever horrible food they've prepared for us. Have a great week ahead :D
