This too shall pass :)

An average human being passes away half his time doing nothing and wastes the remaining half worrying about the time lost. Most of us reading this entry would surely agree with my theory J After all, right from a young age we have been made to repent for our mistakes of the past. It is one hundred percent true that there can never be self improvement or development unless we realize the cause and effect of our faults.
But, there is one thing we fail to do on our path to ‘realization and self-actualization’. We forget the basic fact that, repenting alone isn’t going to solve the world’s oil problems ;) We spend our time only on repenting and never on moving as much as a muscle to try and do something which will, in the end, right the wrong.
I’ve learnt over the years that, the first step in correcting our self is to say to us- “This too shall pass”. Nothing is permanent however realistic they might seem. We might fall down today. But if we keep in mind this mantra that everything that happens shall pass, we will realize that we fell down only to rise again more magnificently than before J
Likewise, are you happy today? That’s absolutely great news. But…on one condition. Accept the fact that even this moment of joy and happiness is god’s gift to you J Its yours today. Tomorrow it might as well be someone else’s turn J Accepting things for what they are is much better than presuming things to be how you want them to be, is always good for us when we look at  the bigger pictureJ
There is this famous saying which goes on like “If you are in troubled waters, don’t think that god is punishing you. It just means that god is putting you through all this only because he knows you can overcome the suffering.”
The mystical stories we hear about the phoenix is really fascinating. Even though it is only fabled, each time the phoenix goes up in flames, it resurrects itself from its ashes. Why can’t we be like the phoenix? Well…not literally though ;) It is in our hands to choose for ourselves whether we wish to rise from the ashes of the hardships we face or give in to the pain and call it quits. Because, deep inside, we very well know that this too shall pass J
And finally, the last recipe for a worry free journey ahead, forget the past, stop worrying about the future and start living in the present. It is better to live in a hut now than dreaming about a castle for the distant future
Till next time,
With love,
Karthik J
